About the role:
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Office Operations Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position combines front desk reception responsibilities with hands-on physical support in maintaining and organizing our office space. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle moderate manual labor.
Responsibilities:

<li>Reception - <ul>
<li>Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.</li>
<li>Answer incoming calls, co-manage the reception email account, and handle package distribution.</li>
<li>Maintain a tidy and organized front desk and lobby area.</li>
<li>Guide vendors through the office space, ensuring they have proper access and are aware of any relevant protocols. </li>
<li>Assist employees with inquiries about office operations.</li>
</ul>

<li>Office Support - <ul>
<li>Assist with moving, organizing, and setting up office furniture and equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Coordinate and execute basic maintenance tasks, such as stocking supplies, assembling furniture, and arranging deliveries. </li>
<li>Support the Operations team in organizing storage spaces and ensuring common areas are clean and functional.</li>
<li>Help prepare for office events, including setup and teardown of furniture and equipment.</li>

This is a part-time position onsite here in our NYC office (30 hours per week) with compensation of $30 per hour.

<h3>ABOUT THE ROLE</h3>
At Current, data is at the core of everything we do. As a Senior Data Scientist on the Banking team, you will focus on machine learning modeling, leveraging data to build predictive models that enhance our credit and liquidity products, improve customer experience, and grow revenue. You will work on solving complex problems with a hands-on approach, developing and deploying machine learning models, and contributing to data-driven decision-making. 
Your day-to-day will include analyzing, preparing and structuring data, building and optimizing predictive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into banking products and processes.
<h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, and deploy predictive classification and regression models, anomaly detection models and algorithms for credit risk assessment, building underwriting policies and other use cases.</li>
<li>Conduct extensive EDA, feature engineering and data preprocessing to ensure high-quality input for ML models.</li>
<li>Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to integrate predictive models into workflows.</li>
<li>Evaluate and optimize model performance using statistical and ML techniques.</li>
<li>Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and insights that inform model development.</li>
<li>Design and execute A/B tests to measure and validate model impact.</li>
<li>Implement model governance techniques and build model monitoring dashboards.</li>

<li>Work with analytics and data engineering teams to ensure efficient data pipelines and model deployment.</li>

<h3>ABOUT YOU</h3>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience in data science with a strong emphasis on machine learning modeling.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Python for data analysis and ML, with experience using libraries such as Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.</li>
<li>Expertise in SQL and working with large, complex structured and semi-structured datasets.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, including logistic regression, gradient boosting, decision trees, and clustering methods.</li>
<li>Experience in feature engineering, model selection, and performance optimization.</li>
<li>Experienced in designing, executing, analyzing and reading out experiments.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>
<li>Master’s or higher degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience working in fintech, e-commerce, or other data-rich consumer-facing industries is a plus.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services, particularly VertexAI and Dataflow, for scalable data processing and model training.</li>
<li>Experience using Scala programming language for developing scalable and efficient data pipelines.</li>
<li>Experience with dbt for data modeling.</li>
<li>Familiarity with BigQuery or other MPP databases.</li>
</ul>
This role has a base salary range of $180,000 - $220,000. Compensation is determined based on experience, skill level, and qualifications, which are assessed during the interview process. We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our growing Full-Stack Team in New York. You will work closely with product and design counterparts to build web experiences for Current’s millions of users as well as internal users, and contribute directly to the back-end services that power them. You will be responsible for the full feature development lifecycle from idea to deployment and refinement. 
Current’s Full-Stack Team is dedicated to creating robust and responsive web experiences. We work on a mix of user growth initiatives as well as internal tooling to monitor and assist our existing members. 
This role has a base salary range of $150,000 - $200,000. Compensation is determined based on experience, skill level, and qualifications, which are assessed during the interview process.
